Kyle Keenan Wins Twice at SSCA Western Conference Majors in Portland
The year 2014 was an incredible time to be a Kia Racing fan. Every single Kia model that raced last year won a National Championship in its respective category and class: the Rio 5-door in the Sports Car Club of America (SSCA) Runoffs; the Forte Koup in the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) Touring Car A (TCA) class; and the Optima in the PWC Grand Touring Sport (GTS) class.
And it seems that all of these Kia Racing victories have created an unstoppable momentum of success for Kia Racing driver Kyle Keenan of Vancouver, Washington, who piloted his No. 44 Kia Rio to two wins at the SSCA Western Conference Majors at Portland International Raceway earlier this July.
Keenan’s performance last year earned him the B-Spec title in the SCCA Runoffs as well as the prestigious “Club RACER of the Year” award from RACER Magazine. Given his regular appearances on the podium (often on the top spot) this year, it’s all the more likely that he’ll be able to defend his title. We’ll be rooting for him every step of the way at Carriage Kia!
