All-New Kia Sedona Sports Growing List of Accolades
When Kia announced that it was redesigning the Sedona, the automaker specifically chose not to call it a minivan, but rather a multi-purpose vehicle of MPV. Whatever you want to call the model, you can add successful to its title. The all-new 2015 Sedona is raking in the awards with a growing list of accolades from the auto experts. It recently was earned five stars for safety and was named to the prestigious Ward’s 10 Best Interiors list.
After putting the all-new Sedona through its rigorous safety testing, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the MPV with a five-star rating for overall safety, the highest awarded for the governmental organization.
To add to the vehicle’s accomplishments, the Sedona was one of 10 vehicles named to Ward’s 10 Best Interiors of the 42 total vehicles evaluated.
“Minivans may not be as popular as they used to be, but the all-new Kia Sedona gives us reason to think this segment is in store for a resurgence,” said Tom Murphy, executive editor of WardsAuto World magazine. “Kia takes stylistic chances with the Sedona interior.
Sedona is unique in its interior design with two-tone leather set off with white piping and orange contrast stitching. The van’s comfortable and spacious, with way-cool second-row lounge seats with footrests. It’s also flexible, with third-row seats that fold into the floor. Finally, a minivan that is truly cool!”
