2017 Kia Niro Hybrid Challenges the Prius
The recent announcement that the 2017 Kia Niro Hybrid will indeed be heading to production has many automakers worried. The new model comes at an aggressive starting price and boasts a long list of standard features that more expensive competitors lack. The new Kia Niro Hybrid is a work of art from the sheer styling to the impressive performance.
The new Niro Hybrid starts at just $23,785, nearly $2,000 less than one of its closest competitors, the Toyota Prius. On top of a more affordable price, the new hybrid also offers a whole host of features rarely found among comparable models.
For example, drivers can expect standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility with a seven-inch touchscreen, complete with a rearview camera. The new Niro Hybrid rides on 16-inch wheels and offers keyless entry as well. That’s just the base model!
The top-of-the-line Niro Touring trim boasts comfort features like heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, power sunroof, and more. That’s not to mention the Kardon premium sound system and park assist technology. The Niro Touring trim starts at just $30,545.
The 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine comes mated to an electric motor that earns up to an EPA-estimated 52 mpg city/49 mpg highway and produces 139 hp.
We at Carriage Kia have high hopes for the new Niro Hybrid!
